Since the demonstration project in 2013 a total of 5 phases of wind power foundation pile anti-corrosion restoration projects have been completed in Jiangsu Longyuan Wind Power with a total area of 9000 m2. PTC has been proved to be a long-term maintenance-free long-term anti-corrosion strategy.

 

In the construction process the following measures are taken to solve the technical problems of Longyuan wind power cladding.

 

(1) In view of the problem that the pile has many complicated joints the method of on-site prefabricated glass fiber reinforced plastic protective cover is adopted.

 

(2) Aiming at the problem of thin and thick cladding on the pile the combination of 6 transverse and 3 longitudinal protective covers solves the problem of large diameter of wind power structure and conical shape of thin on top and thick on bottom.

 

(3) In order to solve the problem that the pile diameter is particularly large the anti-corrosion belt with a width of 30 cm is wrapped.

 

Different from steel piles and docks with simple diameters ranging from 0.8 to 1.6m steel piles wind power tower barrel diameter is large generally up to about 5m offshore wind power ebb often need to use tractors and other transport vehicles to carry 2 people and materials for construction and high tide to use ships construction costs are high. Due to the severity of corrosion in the spray splash zone it is very difficult to repair the wind power tower barrel in the splash zone once it is rusty and PTC technology is a very excellent protection technology for the splash zone. Therefore it is recommended to design the wind power tower barrel according to the national standard and then carry out the construction of PTC coating technology in advance when the new tower barrel is built on land which can greatly reduce the construction cost.
